Luis Manzano was locked and loaded, helping the New York Mets beat the Texas Rangers, 3-1. Earning his 11th save of the year was Kerry Moreno. Today's win puts New York at 30-63, while Texas falls to 47-48.

The Rangers had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Mets going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the former first round draft pick Curt Tolley came to the plate. Tolley hit a 3-run home run on a 2-1 changeup from Texas hurler Danny Bagwell. It was Tolley's 22nd home run of the year.

"I had pretty good command out there," said Manzano.
