Palmer Dominant in Nationals Victory
|
The Washington Nationals picked up a win at Nationals Park, knocking off the Los Angeles Angels, 9-2. Starting pitcher William Palmer played a key role in the triumph. The Nationals saw their win-loss record go to 44-52. At the same time, the Angels fell to 25-68.
Palmer was in the zone all game. He frustrated Los Angeles hitters while giving the Nationals 7 innings of quality work. Palmer threw 105 pitches, allowing 2 hits and getting 6 punchouts.
"The key at this level is throwing strike one," said Palmer. "Successful pitchers do it."
