Multi-HR Day for Bridgens as Hustle Overpower Cubs, 6-3
The Las Vegas Hustle handed the Chicago Cubs a 6-3 defeat at Las Vegas Ballpark. Second Baseman Colin Bridgens starred for Las Vegas. He went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Picking up the win was Dustin Walker. He went 5 innings, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits. The left--hander struck out 12 and walked 3. With the win, Las Vegas upped its record to 49-45.

Michinao Morioka had a big 2-run home run for the Hustle in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Las Vegas leading 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a sinker from 25-year old left-handed pitcher Fumikazu Nakahama and punished it. The result was his 31st home run of the season, which put the Hustle on top, 4-1.

"Ah, the sweet taste of victory," Bridgens crowed after the game.
