Schuurmans Tosses No-Hitter Against White Sox
Minnesota Twins starter Dean Schuurmans came up big at Target Field with an exceptional 1-0 win against the Chicago White Sox. Not only did he whip them, but Schuurmans held them hitless, too.

"My arm was a bit sore in warmups," confessed Schuurmans. "Sometimes you go out there and you're not feeling all that hot. You get into the game and all of a sudden in the seventh inning you look up and see the scoreboard and think to yourself, 'Oh, my goodness, I have a no-hitter!' You're so focused on what you're doing, it just happens."

In the course of the no-hitter, Schuurmans collected 11 strikeouts and surrendered 2 walks -- a day good enough to get his name in the history books.

This season, Schuurmans has made no relief appearances, recorded no saves and compiled a 11-2 won-lost mark and a 2.89 ERA. In pitching 127.2 innings, he has totaled 133 strikeouts and 35 walks.
