Reds Stick Cubs with 4-3 Loss
The Cincinnati Reds did just enough to secure a victory over the Chicago Cubs, 4-3, at Wrigley Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Israel Castillo. Mike Yates picked up the save for Cincinnati, his 10th of the year. With the win, the Reds improved to 64-30.

Cincinnati used the timely hitting of Steve Carbone to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Reds on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Castillo.
