Los Angeles Downs Seattle, 6-3
|
Josh Parham impressed in the 6-3 Los Angeles win over Seattle. Parham went 2 for 2 with a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Los Angeles reliever John Cronin snagged the win, upping his record to 4-2. Jonathan Dooley shouldered the loss. James Murano earned his 3rd save in 4 chances.
New Whiteland, Indiana-born Jon Williams came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the seventh, with runners on 2nd and 3rd and the Dodgers trailing 3-2, he hit a 2-run single to left to put Los Angeles on top.
"We'll sip on a cold one and savor this win," said Williams.
The third-place Dodgers are now 48-46, the Mariners 37-57.
