Rangers Get Plucky, 2-1 Win Over Royals
|
The Kansas City Royals went down to defeat to Nick Jenkins and his Texas teammates. The final score was 2-1, in favor of the Rangers. Texas is 4th in the American League West Division with a record of 51-45.
The decisive blow was delivered by Victor Costales in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a solo home run off 34-year old right-handed pitcher Danny Nunez to win the game for Texas. The home crowd went nuts.
"The crowd was boisterous tonight," said Jenkins.
