The San Francisco Giants topped the Milwaukee Brewers, 6-2, in National League action at AT&T Park. The standout performance belonged to San Francisco pitcher and Colorado Springs, Colorado, native Ron Boone. Boone, now 6-8, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 5, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs. San Francisco is now 50-48.

The Giants got a big hit from third baseman Matt Milone. In the bottom of the sixth, Milone smacked a 2-run home run off Milwaukee pitcher Jay Garza. It was his 15th home run of the season. Suddenly, the Giants were ahead, 3-2.

"I'm glad we can make our fans happy with a win," Milone told the San Francisco Gazette.
