Astros Win, 5-2, Versus Rangers
|
Houston got a strong outing from Luis Rodas as the Astros defeated the Texas Rangers, 5-2, at Globe Life Park in Arlington. Jeff Hank closed it out for his 23rd save. The second-place Astros are 55-43.
Houston used the hitting of Hideyuki Takahashi to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Astros on top, 3-0. For the game, Takahashi had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"When Luis is on, he can really move the ball around," said Houston manager Zeb Currier.
