Dodgers Suffer 4-1 Setback
|
The performance of Omar Perez proved critical in helping Seattle beat Los Angeles, 4-1. The Mariners left fielder was 1-1 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Seattle pitcher Gary Kennedy got the win. He's now 10-2. Erik Baggett was tagged with the loss. The Mariners sport a record of 61-35.
Perez had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a full count sinker from Sean McNees, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Mariners a 4-1 lead. It was the 16th home run of the year for Perez.
"Hustle and hard work is a big part of our success," said Perez. "Those qualities define our team."
