9-7 Win for Minnesota Over Houston
Houston center fielder Cesar Mejia had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Mejia was 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2, even as Minnesota beat the Astros, 9-7. Adam Pennington picked up the win, lifting his record to 5-5 on the season. He struck out 4 and walked 2 in 6 innings, while yielding 5 runs. Luis Luciano picked up the save for Minnesota, his 6th of the year.

Minnesota used the timely hitting of Jason Duren to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Twins on top, 7-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"That's a solid team effort right there," said Duren. "Everyone's feeling positive after that win."

The winning continues for Minnesota, with the latest triumph making it 7 straight.
