Baltimore Loses Again, 5-3
|
Los Angeles second baseman Dan Boyd played a vital role in his team's 5-3 triumph over Baltimore. He went 3 for 5 with a triple and a double for Los Angeles. Eric Beattie, now 8-2, picked up the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 3.1 innings. Reynaldo Coronado earned the save for Los Angeles, his 2nd.
Los Angeles used a well-timed hit by Jose Camacho to capture the win. The first baseman socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Dodgers ahead, 5-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"I like to keep things lively in the clubhouse," said Camacho. "Believe me, it's much easier after a win."
Los Angeles, at 56-41, holds down third place in the National League West Division.
