Brewers Upend Giants, 3-0
|
In a low-scoring affair between the Milwaukee Brewers and the San Francisco Giants, pitcher Cole May was the difference between victory and defeat. The Milwaukee left-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-0 Brewers win. May picked up the win for Milwaukee, going 7 innings. He gave up no runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 6-6. The win elevated the Brewers to 52-47.
Milwaukee used a clutch at-bat from Pat Yaeger to capture the win. The pinch hitter hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Brewers ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a humdinger.
"It's nice to get the results when you're feeling good and throwing the ball well," said May after the game.
