Yankees Clonk Giants, 6-2
|
New York second baseman Steve Marston contributed significantly to his team's 6-2 win over the San Francisco Giants. Marston, who is on pace for 98 RBI this season, went 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Yankees. The Yankees improved their record to 41-57 with the win over San Francisco.
Early in the game, Marston had a solo home run for New York. It was his 14th home run of the season and put the Yankees on top, 2-1.
"We did a lot of really good things and it was a good win," said Yankees manager Mike Hanson.
