7-2 Loss Deepens New York Funk
|
San Francisco left fielder Erik Mulloy played a vital role in his team's 7-2 triumph over New York. He was 2-5 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for San Francisco. The win gives San Francisco a season record of 66-34.
San Francisco used the clutch hitting of Ben Presley to capture the win. The catcher drilled a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Giants the lead, 4-2. For the game, Presley had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.
"I'm proud to wear a San Francisco jersey," Mulloy told the San Francisco Citizen. "We played a good game and came out with the win. What more can you ask for?"
