Perez Earns Praise as Twins Topple Blue Jays, 10-7
A 3-RBI performance from Carlos Perez helped the Minnesota Twins beat the Toronto Blue Jays, 10-7. The win went to Adam Pennington in relief, making him now 6-2. Andres Sauri took the loss for Toronto. The second-place Twins now have a record of 55-46.

Billy Hinson had a big 2-run double for the Twins in the bottom of the second inning. With Minnesota leading 4-3 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a changeup from 24-year old right-handed pitcher Andres Sauri and swatted a double to center. It was his 21st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Twins ahead, 6-3.

"We've got great fans," said Perez. "I hope they got what they came for."
