The Milwaukee Brewers got a superb performance from pitcher Bill Amparan. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Minnesota. The Twins won the game, 4-2. Amparan threw 6.2 innings allowing 2 runs. Andres Martines was called on to finish, recording his 2nd save. The second-place Twins have won 5 consecutive games.

Minnesota took a 4-1 lead on Bill Widby's 34th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Milwaukee pitcher Josh Watts in the top of the eighth.
