Atlanta got a strong outing from Chris Snodgrass as the Braves defeated the Chicago Cubs, 7-2, at Wrigley Field. The 'W' lifts Atlanta's record to 50-51.

Atlanta used the timely hitting of Greg Somers to capture the win. The shortstop stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Braves on top, 6-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.

"I pretty much put my pitches where I wanted to," said Snodgrass.
