The Minnesota Twins beat the Milwaukee Brewers, 6-1, at Miller Park. Minnesota first baseman Vince Aristondo had an outstanding performance. He went 2-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The winner in relief was Curt McMahon. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3.1 innings. He now owns a record of 6-4. Minnesota is in second place in the American League Central Division with a record of 58-45.

Minnesota grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when Aristondo hit a grand slam home run off Dave Zuwiski. His 14th home run of the season put the Twins out in front, 5-1.

"The most important thing is that we won," Aristondo said.
