Blue Jays Deal Orioles 6-2 Defeat
|
The 3-hit performance of Enrique Andrade, who is on pace for 67 RBI this season, helped the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Baltimore Orioles, 6-2. Toronto starter Yuji Fujii was credited with the win after throwing 92 pitches over 5 innings. His record now stands at 7-6. Bryan Bassett picked up his 5th save of the season.
Leo Partida hit a run-scoring triple off Dave Christie in the top of the fifth, which put the Blue Jays in front, 2-1. Partida had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 5.
"I put some good swings on the ball tonight," said Andrade.
The defeat makes Baltimore 54-47.
