Twins Pick Up 2-1 Road Win Over Milwaukee
|
Minnesota pitcher Adam Pennington did his part in helping his team defeat the Milwaukee Brewers, 2-1. The opposition could never get too much going against the right-hander. Pennington got the win, improving to 6-5. He gave up 2 hits and walked 1 over 6 innings. He allowed 1 run. The second-place Twins bumped their record to 59-45.
Daniel Pereyra came through for Minnesota when he hit a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a two-strike sinker to left-center field, staking his team to a 2-1 lead.
"We needed two runs to win," said Twins manager Chris Greuling, "and that's what we got."
