Pineda Impresses as Rangers Knock Off Twins, 4-0
Texas turned a good effort from starter Rod Pineda into a win over the Minnesota Twins at Globe Life Park in Arlington. The Rangers won the game, 4-0. Texas is now 55-48.

It was a masterful performance from the popular Pineda, who notched 6 strikeouts in 7 innings while allowing 2 hits. Pineda, who is tied for 10th in the AL with a 8.8 K/9 rate, goes to 6-5 on the year with 106 strikeouts.

Pineda said he was "thrilled" the fans had something to get excited about.
