Martinez Propels Chicago to 5-0 Win
|
Felix Martinez, who finished 4th in the AL in strikeouts with 213 in 2110, was brilliant in helping Chicago beat the Houston Astros, 5-0. Chicago sits in first place in the American League Central Division at 65-38.
Houston had little success against Martinez and his slider. Martinez tossed 98 pitches over 8.1 innings for the White Sox.
"Felix was hitting his spots," said Chicago manager Bryce Reigns. "It's hard to pitch better than that."
