The Minnesota Twins beat the Houston Astros, 7-2. Minnesota pitcher and Pontiac, Michigan, native Curt McMahon led the way. The loss makes Houston 59-46.

The Twins got a big at-bat from right fielder Chris Pope. For the game, Pope went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 8th home run of the season gave Minnesota a 3-2 lead.
