The Colorado Rockies overcame a fine performance by Baltimore second baseman Jonathan Skye to defeat the Orioles, 8-4, at Colorado Field. Skye went 2-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The Rockies move to 53-50 with the win, while the Orioles drop to 49-55.
Brenden Oxton helped out the Colorado cause in the bottom of the second inning with a 2-run single. For the game, the catcher was 1 for 4, while adding 2 RBI.
Oxton called the triumph "a good team win."
