The Cleveland Guardians got a whale of a performance from third baseman R.J. Lower, but the Los Angeles Angels still prevailed, 7-6, in 10 innings. Lower went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The Angels win now puts them at 52-52.

The climactic moment came in the bottom of the tenth for Los Angeles. That's when 34-year old left fielder Steve Simon hit a solo home run off Pablo Iglesias to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.

"This kind of game is tough on the heart," said winning manager Keith Orchard.
