Maldrum Leads Angels to Win
The Los Angeles Angels knocked off the Kansas City Royals, 8-5, at Kauffman Stadium. Harrison Maldrum was a big reason Los Angeles won. The center fielder went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 doubles, and 2 walks, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. Los Angeles reliever Richard Clare picked up the win, raising his record to 3-1. Mike Mask was tagged with the loss. Tony Sanchez finished to wrap up his 26th save.

Los Angeles used the hitting of Bryan Clair to pick up the win. The shortstop clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Angels on top, 8-5. For the game, Clair had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
