The Cincinnati Reds got a rain-soaked win over the Chicago White Sox.

The Cincinnati Reds weathered a fine game by Chicago right fielder Ben Gibbons to upend the White Sox, 6-4, at U.S. Cellular Field. Gibbons hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. The win for the Reds raised their record to 59-47.

The Reds benefited from an error in the top of the second inning. Cincinnati was leading 1-0 when Adam Powers hit a 2-run single that was misplayed. It put Cincinnati in front, 3-0.

Powers said afterward that he was glad to help his team win.
