Dan Simon, who is a five-time All-Star, pitched well, but the Milwaukee Brewers still fell short, losing, 3-1, to the Boston Red Sox at Miller Park. The winner in relief was Nate Williams. He is now 1-0. The left-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. Boston occupies 4th place in the American League East Division at 42-63.
William Shabala contributed a productive at-bat in the top of the seventh. With a runner on 1st, he hit a double. His at-bat helped Boston get the win.
"Some wins are easy and some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," Shabala told the Boston Times.
