Phillies Drop Another One, 7-3
|
San Francisco starter Andy Cote pitched well against the Philadelphia Phillies at AT&T Park. The right-hander led his team to a win, 7-3. The first-place Phillies have lost 5 consecutive games.
The Giants got a big at-bat from second baseman David Bishop. For the game, Bishop was 1-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 18th double of the season gave San Francisco a 2-0 lead.
Postgame, Giants manager Michel Alexandre Cauchon complimented Cote. "No question about it. Pasta was terrific."
