The Detroit Tigers got a superb performance from pitcher Alex Garza, but the Milwaukee Brewers still won the game, 6-5. Garza threw 6.1 innings allowing 2 runs. Ricardo Baeza got the save, his 18th in 22 chances. Detroit's current losing streak has reached 4 games.

Milwaukee used the timely hitting of Eric Walsh to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Brewers on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
