Mariners Topple Astros, 6-1, as Dahl Shines
|
Kenny Dahl drove in 4 runs to help Seattle defeat Houston, 6-1. The third baseman had 1 double and 2 home runs for the Mariners. The win was credited to Luis Reyes in relief. His record improves to 12-0. Manny Rice took the loss. With the win, Seattle has a record of 69-38. Houston falls to 56-53.
Seattle took a 5-0 lead on Dahl's 7th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which he hit off Graham Burch in the bottom of the seventh, propelled Seattle to the win.
"Like I've always said, I'm the straw that stirs the drink," Dahl said (again).
