Diamondbacks Stumble, Lose to Giants
|
The San Francisco Giants downed the Arizona Diamondbacks, 8-3. The hitting star was second baseman Nate Campbell. Campbell was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Giants. Seth Eaton snagged the win in relief. He goes to 4-7 on the season. Rafael Estrada suffered the loss. Ryan McLellan nailed down his 18th save.
In the bottom of the seventh, the Giants grabbed the lead when Campbell hit his 14th home run of the season. The 2-run home run off Rafael Estrada made it 3-1, San Francisco.
"We're not exactly playing great right now," said Terrell Bailey, the Arizona manager.
The Giants sit in last place in the National League West Division with a record of 39-68.
