Culligan Helps Padres Win, 10-4, with Pair of Homers
The San Diego Padres topped the Los Angeles Dodgers, 10-4, at Dodger Park. San Diego first baseman Ben Culligan was a spark plug for the offense. He hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. San Diego pitcher Steve Gallagher got the win. He's now 4-0. Yao-pang Yun was tagged with the loss. Matt Magruder earned the save for San Diego, his 4th.

San Diego used the hitting of Randy Wilson to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a 2-run single in the top of the third inning to put the Padres on top, 3-0. For the game, Wilson had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"You can't take yourself too seriously," Culligan told the San Diego Herald. "But at the end of the day, we do play to win ballgames."

At 64-46, the Padres claim second place in the National League West Division.
