White Sox Stick Blue Jays with 9-3 Loss
|
Good production from left fielder Danny Royal helped the Chicago White Sox topple the Toronto Blue Jays, 9-3. Royal went 3 for 5 with 2 doubles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4 for the White Sox. The White Sox now have a mark of 54-59.
Had Joey Aimone not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Aimone hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the White Sox.
Aimone told the Chicago Chronicle: "Win or lose, I don't want to see our team outhustled."
