Colorado left-hander Nick Puckett pitched his team to victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates at PNC Park. The final score was 6-2. The National League Central Division-leading Rockies have a record of 71-40.

Ezequiel Torka drove in one run for Colorado. The 28-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the top of the second. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch off Javy Villarreal. It was his 14th RBI of the season.

"Nick did a really nice job of taking the ball and giving us a chance to win the game," said Colorado manager Trevor Taka.
