Yankees Lose 8-5 Decision to Toronto
The Toronto Blue Jays downed the New York Yankees, 8-5, at Rogers Centre. The Blue Jays were led by Marcos Iniguez. Iniguez was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The first-place Blue Jays are now 68-45, the Yankees 44-67.

Dennis Desper went 1 for 3 for Toronto. The slugging first baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 5-5 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Chase Gifford. It was his 61st RBI of the season.

"When the ball finds the sweet spot," said Iniguez, "I can't complain."
