Brewers Use Late Surge to Win
The Houston Astros got a superb performance from pitcher Luis Rodas, but the Milwaukee Brewers still won the game, 8-6. Rodas threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball. Dave Zuwiski recorded the save, his 26th. The Brewers raised their record to 53-59.

Milwaukee catcher Jason Currie produced at a critical juncture. It happened in the top of the eighth with Ethan Gordon on the mound and Milwaukee leading 5-4. Currie drew a walk, driving in 1 run.

"I hate to be the fly in the ointment," said Currie, "but we could've played better."
