The Los Angeles Angels withstood a good performance by Houston first baseman Hideyuki Takahashi to knock off Houston, 9-8, in 11 innings. Takahashi was 2 for 3 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Los Angeles now owns a record of 50-64.
