Left-hander Monte Acosta mesmerized the Las Vegas Hustle while leading the Pittsburgh Pirates to a 2-0 victory. The save went to Willie Lopez, his 30th this season. The Pirates, at 71-45, have now won 4 straight.

Pittsburgh took a 2-0 lead on Tomas Voivodic's 3rd double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Voivodic hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Las Vegas pitcher Mason Martindale visibly frustrated.

"It's about putting our team in the best position to win ballgames," said Acosta.
