Rich Shines in 13-7 New York Win
Thanks in large part to designated hitter Nick Rich, the New York Yankees beat the Cleveland Guardians, 13-7. Rich went 4-5 with 2 home runs and 2 singles. He scored 4 runs and drove in 3. Yes, it was a win for New York; but their 38-76 record is still nothing to boast about.

New York left fielder Tadatoshi Sawada helped the Yankees go up, 7-6, in the top of the seventh inning. With the game tied, Sawada hit a run-scoring single off Cleveland pitcher Jay Pritchett.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said Rich.
