Reds Get 6th Straight Win with Late Rally
|
Dean Thomas pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Tampa Bay Rays, despite Thomas's fine outing, dropped a 3-0 decision to the Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ball Park. Cincinnati has now reeled off 6 straight wins.
Cincinnati took a 3-0 lead on Jamie Moore's 15th home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off Tampa Bay pitcher Manuel Barrientes in the bottom of the eighth.
Moore attributed the win to "a well-rounded effort by the whole team."
