Houston Hands Cleveland 6-3 Defeat
|
Manchu Hu helped his team muscle past the Cleveland Guardians, 6-3. In the game, the Houston catcher was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Houston reliever Larry DeWolfe picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Art Tesar absorbed the loss. Today's win puts Houston at 60-57, while Cleveland falls to 65-52.
Kyle Stewart, the 30-year old first baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Stewart contributed a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put Houston up, 2-1.
"I'm proud of the way we took care of business and got the 'W' today," Hu told the Houston Citizen. "Whatever it takes."
