Giants Earn Late Win
The San Francisco Giants earned a win at Nationals Park, stopping the Washington Nationals, 2-1. Starting pitcher Andy Washburn played a big role in his team's success. Jim Doll picked up his 25th save of the season. The Giants go to 46-71 with the win.

Brian Main had a direct impact on the outcome. Main contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth inning to put San Francisco up, 2-1.

"You have to win 1-0, 3-2, 2-1 games if you want to get to where you want to go," said Giants manager Michel Alexandre Cauchon.
