Hustle Rally Late to Nip Pirates
In a close game at PNC Park, the Las Vegas Hustle edged the Pittsburgh Pirates, 5-4. Las Vegas second baseman Colin Bridgens stood apart with his performance. He belted 2 home runs. Las Vegas reliever Bob Nunez picked up the win. John Berglund took the loss for Pittsburgh. Alfonso Delgado earned save number 1 this season.

Las Vegas used the timely hitting of Danny Alarcon to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Hustle on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"You can't take yourself too seriously," Bridgens told the Las Vegas Gazette. "But at the end of the day, we do play to win ballgames."

The third-place Hustle improved to 61-57.
