Texas catcher Raul Camacho played a vital role in his team's 7-4 triumph over Houston. He went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 runs for Texas. Texas, at 64-56, holds down second place in the American League West Division.

The Rangers took the lead in the top of the fourth when Luis Chavez banged a two-out triple. Texas had been trailing 3-2, but Chavez hit a 1-1 fastball from Mark Gaither for a 2-run triple.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Camacho told the Texas Daily News. "It's as simple as that."
