Reds Get 6-4 Win Versus Milwaukee
|
Though he had a terrific game, Eric Cobb could not prevent his team, the Milwaukee Brewers, from absorbing a loss. Cincinnati won the game, 6-4. Cobb was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The Reds have a one-game lead in the National League Central Division.
Cincinnati used a well-timed hit by Javy Castaneda to capture the win. The second baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Reds ahead, 4-2. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
Said Cincinnati manager BJ Gorman: "Our approach was outstanding all night long."
