5-1 Loss Extends Milwaukee Skid
The Cincinnati Reds topped the Milwaukee Brewers, 5-1, in National League action at Miller Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Cincinnati pitcher Mike Lewis. The winning pitcher was Lewis, now 9-3. He tossed 5.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 4. The slumping Brewers have dropped 6 in a row.

Cincinnati used a well-timed hit by Earl Boivin to capture the win. The second baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Reds ahead, 2-1. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.

"We feel like we're going to win every game right now," said Cincinnati skipper BJ Gorman.
