The Las Vegas Hustle picked up a win at The Pound at Seaport Village, downing the San Diego Padres, 5-3. On the mound for Las Vegas was right-hander Jose Savala, who played a pivotal role in the win. Savala picked up the win for Las Vegas, going 7 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 7-3. Ryan McLellan earned his 23rd save, after closing out the game.

Bryan Tillman had a big 2-run home run for the Hustle in the top of the sixth inning. With Las Vegas leading 2-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a fastball from 23-year old right-handed pitcher Mark Carnathan and punished it. The result was his 7th home run of the season, which put the Hustle on top, 4-0.

"I'd like to pile on a few more wins before the end of the year," said Savala.

With the win, the Hustle improved to 63-57.
