Giants Suffer 3-2 Loss to Dodgers
|
San Francisco third baseman Erik Mulloy had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 3-2, to Los Angeles at AT&T Park. Mulloy was 4 for 5 with a double and 3 singles. Los Angeles, at 65-55, holds down third place in the National League West Division.
Los Angeles used a timely hit from Jason Avsar to get the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Dodgers ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Avsar. "And not try to do too much."
