Twins Earn 3-1 Road Win Over Chicago
In a tight contest between the Minnesota Twins and the Chicago White Sox, Matt Doering was the determining factor. The Minnesota right-hander sparkled in his team's 3-1 win. Minnesota is now 61-61, Chicago 67-54.

The Twins got a big hit from second baseman Nate Carpenter. Facing Chicago pitcher Felix Martinez in the top of the sixth, Carpenter pounded a solo home run to left-center. His 20th home run of the season put the Twins ahead, 1-0.

"I'm not out there for personal accomplishments," Doering told a Minnesota Today reporter after the game. "I'm out there to help the team win, and that's what we did today."
