The Oakland Athletics locked up a win at Globe Life Park in Arlington, knocking off the Texas Rangers, 7-1. On the mound for Oakland was left-hander Rob Lewey. He played a major role in the triumph. With the win, the Athletics improved to 66-55.

The Athletics got a big at-bat from left fielder Matt Juhasz. For the game, Juhasz went 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk. In the top of the first, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 18th home run of the season gave Oakland a 1-0 lead.

"The fans pay the tickets and help us do what we do, so we like to put on a show for them," Juhasz told the Oakland Bulletin.
